October Briefing: Sam Rasoul, Cynthia Wallace, and Skip Halpern

Solving Local Problems to Build Trust and Change Hearts and Minds

RUBI’s framework for understanding and overcoming the rural urban divide includes three pillars: Think differently, Talk differently and Act differently. At our October briefing, the focus will be on Acting differently, particularly at the local level, as we’re joined by three outstanding local leaders: Virginia State Delegate, Sam Rasoul, who will focus on the “Democratic Promise” he initiated in 2018; Cynthia Wallace, who will describe New Rural Project’s community engagement approach in rural North Carolina, including their “Barbershop” strategy; and Skip Halpern, who will share the multi-pronged approach that the Page County (VA) Democratic Committee is using to strengthen their community and rebuild trust. For any local Dems, progressives or liberals looking for ways to make progress in your local communities, this is a ‘must see’ briefing!
